THE NEED:

Veraison Beverage Distributors is a Denver-based wine and spirit distribution company with operations throughout the state of Colorado. Over their decades in business, they’ve built a portfolio of some of the world’s greatest wines with an emphasis on family-owned, sustainable vineyards. As they continue to grow not only does their portfolio constantly evolve, but so does their clientele. Coming into 2020 they had strong relationships with current customers, but they needed a modern website that would allow them to showcase their stellar products, provide the sales team with up-to-date information, and attract new customers both in the restaurant and retail sectors.

THE REMEDY:

I began by applying my skillset with Squarespace to frame out a modern website built to not only showcase their portfolio but also funnel users into key customer capture pages. There would be no actual retail on the site, due to Veraison’s B2B nature, but the website needed to function as a sales tool all the same. From there I applied my developed brand standards across the site to collect images and write copy to create a compelling user experience that is distinctively Veraison.

From there I began compiling their portfolio of wines into individual pages on the site in a way that would allow them to be sorted and arranged for maximum navigability. It was a heavy lift with hundreds of different brands and almost a thousand different wines available, but ultimately the system I developed will allow the company to easily manage their online portfolio for years ahead and provides excellent flexibility for developing new landing pages as the company grows and evolves.

Portfolio sorting was a huge priority for the site.

Of course, telling the story of this family-owned company was also critical.

There are hundreds of these listings organized on the site.

I went on to apply the brand standards to other sales materials as well for a cohesive look.

THE RESULT:

From a glorified splash page to a targeted customer-capturing website, the new Veraison site has seen a several-fold uptick in leads captured on site. This will only continue as they are able to leverage the new site’s ability to target users during different campaigns and always drive users towards conversion. But beyond all that the new site has begun to serve as a new cultural touchstone for the company, frequently being used by the sales team and clientele alike to interact and stay up to date with great new offerings from a great local business.
