Predictive Safety: Sales Materials / by Griffin Turnipseed

The Need:

Predictive Safety had just formed as a joint venture of three leading brands in the workplace safety industry. They needed a way to communicate their suite of products and services as a unified platform with a cohesive message. As their Marketing Manager, after I had built a new brand identity and website, I began creating- and version controlling- a series of print and digital sales materials that would tell their powerful story.

The Remedy:

To begin, I started by standardizing the brands of the founding companies- PRISM Safety Services, Safety Solutions Int'lPredictive Compliance- and establishing a visual identity that would allow each of them to hold on to their existing identities while still feeling like a family of brands when put into the context of Predictive Safety.

After that, I got to work designing a series of sales slicks for each offering from the company. These two-page graphic PDFs gave an insightful overview of what each offering brought to market and how it fit into the larger context of Predictive Safety's product mix. For each slick, I designed the layout, wrote copy, sourced raster imagery and designed vectors.

Once each offering in the suite had it's own sales materials I compiled them into several master catalogs, each targeted at a key audience. These master catalogs would go on to serve as the backbone for the Predictive Safety communication strategy, with key talking points and value propositions laid out for the sales teams. To help with accounts in South America, I even helped create translated versions of key documents.

Once all the materials were finished I began the process of carefully version controlling them. Through a clear version numbering system, my management of documents through the company SharePoint, and a clear communication strategy with the teams I kept tight tabs on each piece of material.

The Results:

Sales teams always had the most up-to-date targeted collateral for each meeting.

The materials I created for the Predictive Safety team have been deployed in crucial sales meetings from Johannesburg to Salt Lake City to Santiago. Through my version controlling system, I was able to ensure that for every meeting members of the sales teams had the most up-to-date, targeted piece of collateral available. This helped to solidify key early accounts and even secure funding rounds as Predictive Safety continued to grow. Today, Predictive Safety is helping create safer workplaces on 6 continents.
